THE FRUIT OF LABOUR
"Be faithful to the little things, for it is in the little things that the strength lies - What matters is how much love we put into the work we do" St. Teresa of Calcutta
Work is the source of realization and of our economic support and our personal autonomy. All human beings are called to transform the world and the society. Also, personal development. Thanks to work and the result of work through which people develop their potential to the service of the family, and for the transformation of the society. Work is a basic good, fundamental, and necessary support of the family and for personal realization. Work is an element of sanctification because through it God’s love is encompassed in our works, and it transforms our society and it helps us achieve perfection and personal salvation. Work is also an element of healing because those who have been ill find the road to rehabilitation and recuperate their lost abilities. Work is holy because it is also a vocation and a call of God on this earth. The result of our work transforms us as people and transcends our being. The result of our work transcends our life, and because of that, it perpetuates our being inside of history.
Through work many people find happiness and their personal realization. The Doctrine of the Church teaches us that we all have the right to a worthy job that dignifies us, that is, that it sanctifies us because of the result of our work, we transcend and form part of our legacy in this life.
Many people find happiness and personal fulfilment through their work. The Church's teaching postulates that we all have the right to dignified work that makes us more human, i.e. sanctifies us, because we grow beyond ourselves through the fruits of our labour, which thus become part of our legacy in this life. San Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer
"Eternal life is for those who by perseverance in good works seek glory". San Pablo
»The eternity is in love with the works of time". William Blake
