Water

"Eternal Life is a here and now for the believer " Mosén Jordi Gayà Estelrich, Doctor in Theology

In most religions, water is considered as a holy gift that has the significance of purification, renovation, liberation, fertility, and abundance. WATER is LIFE, and for Christians, a sign of purification. BAPTISMAL WATER is what makes us participants of ETERNAL LIFE, life in God.

What is Baptism? What is it for?

Baptism makes us Christians and commits us. Through Baptism, God gives us ETERNAL LIFE, we become participants in a NEW LIFE, ETERNAL LIFE. Through baptism our “I” is transformed, because through baptism we become part of a community of faith, that is the Church. Through baptism our personal history of salvation begins. Through baptism one is forgiven original sin and is converted into a member of ETERNAL LIFE.

Baptism is commitment. Commitment to a life in accord with God. Through baptism, a being begins a new life, a Christian life, a life in the community of believers in the Once Christ is resurrected, a new life begins, Life in God. Life in God is ETERNAL LIFE. Through baptism, WE ARE ETERNAL LIFE, HERE AND NOW.

“Only today will I be happy in the certainty that I have been created for happiness, not only in the next world, but in this one too.” Saint John XXIII
