FAITH
"We must free ourselves from the false idea that the faith no longer has anything to say to the people of today". Pope Benedict XVI
Faith in what? In the Resurrection. What is faith in the Resurrected Christ? It is the faith that God is the Father and that God the son, Jesus, becomes a man to save the world and that He is resurrected after dying on the cross. Without the resurrection neither life, nor the Church makes sense. Death and suffering would be the ultimate word of reality. Faith in the Resurrection is faith in Christ Resurrected, it is faith in Jesus of Nazareth, who teaches us the way of ETERNAL LIFE. The life of faith is life knowing that we are participants in Eternal Life.
For Christians life overcomes death precisely because death is the door to a new life, a life with God the Father: we come from Him, and we return to Him. Eternal life is the life in Christ Resurrected. Eternal life is communion with God, it is participation in divine life and the vision of God through the figure of Jesus.
