FORGIVENESS

"I insist once again: God never tires of forgiving, it is we who tire of turning to his mercy" Pope Francis.

In relation to the previous, the consequence of sin is distance from God, remorse, the increase of difficulties on the road of life due to the lack of God’s presence, amongst other things. This leads us to the importance of repentance on behalf of the individual and seeking God’s salvation through forgiveness and remission of sins.

What is God’s forgiveness? It consists of forgiving someone for their guilt for an offense or crime. The Scriptures refers to forgiveness in two forms. The Lord commands us to repent of our sins and receive forgiveness. Also, He commands us to forgive those who have offended us or have hurt us. Forgiveness saves and is an element without which there is no salvation of the soul, for that forgiveness is the door to ETERNAL LIFE, because it signifies reestablishing life in God.

Without forgiveness there is no salvation, since without forgiveness we cannot experience the Resurrection and without the Resurrection we cannot live ETERNAL LIFE, LIFE IN GOD. Without forgiveness, happiness with yourself or others is not possible either. Without forgiveness we cannot experience the grace of God and be forgiven, we should forgive. ETERNAL LIFE is life with God’s forgiveness, the Life of forgiveness is God.

"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; "but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses". (Mateo 6:14-15).

"We must always forgive, remembering that we ourselves have needed forgiveness. We need to be forgiven much more often than we need to forgive". Saint John Paul II
